Iran Conflict Enters 33rd Day Amid Escalating Attacks, Regional Tensions, and Global Economic Concerns

Washington (HRNW)- The ongoing US and Israeli attacks on Iran have entered their 33rd day, with the war, diplomatic tensions, and humanitarian crisis intensifying across the region.

US President Donald Trump stated that the Iran war could end in the next two to three weeks without any deal, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed zero confidence in negotiations, despite messages exchanged between the two countries.

Situation in Iran: US and Israeli airstrikes continue, targeting industrial and civilian facilities. Explosions have been reported in Bandar Abbas, Isfahan, Shiran, Ahvaz, Kharg, and Kermanshah. Attacks included a Tehran pharmaceutical research department and a desalination plant on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

Diplomatic Front: China and Pakistan proposed a five-point ceasefire plan, while NATO allies, including Spain, France, and Italy, have restricted US military operations in their airspace and bases.

Gulf Region: Tensions remain high as Kuwait’s airport faces repeated drone attacks, Bahrain sounded emergency sirens, Saudi Arabia foiled several attacks, and damage was reported to an oil tanker near Qatar.

Israel and Lebanon: Large-scale Israeli bombing and ground operations continue. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that houses in southern Lebanon will be demolished and displaced people will not be allowed to return.

US and Israeli Stance: US Secretary of Defense emphasized that negotiations are ongoing “through bombs,” and the coming days could be decisive. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu indicated that the war will continue.

Economic Impact: Oil prices are rising, worsening the global energy crisis and affecting the global economy. Experts warn that the chances of an early end to the war are low, with a high risk of further escalation in the region.
