New York (HRNW)– Mayor Zahran Mamdani has stated that he still believes US President Donald Trump is a fascist.
According to media reports, Mamdani expressed these views despite a cordial meeting with Trump at the White House earlier this week.
In an NBC News interview, Mamdani said, “This is something I have said in the past, and I still say today.”
His comments came two days after the meeting, during which both parties set aside months of mutual accusations and promised cooperation on the city’s future.
Previously, Trump had referred to Mamdani as a “100 percent communist lunatic” in a social media post after the mayoral election, while Mamdani had criticized Trump for attacking democracy.
