Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has criticized Canada’s decision to impose retaliatory tariffs in response to the 50 percent tariffs imposed by the United States.
According to media reports, Trump reacted after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced plans to introduce new tariffs on US goods. In a post on Truth Social, Trump accused Canada of seeking the benefits of being part of the United States without actually becoming a US state.
Trump also accused Canada of imposing excessive tariffs on American farmers for many years, warning that such practices would no longer be tolerated.
