Dushanbe (HRNW) — Tajik security forces have carried out multiple operations this year against drug smuggling near the Afghan border, resulting in the arrest of 18 Afghan nationals and the deaths of 17 individuals. According to officials, 1.513 tonnes of drugs were also seized during the operations, and it has been announced that surveillance along the Afghan border will be further tightened.
