Dubai (HRNW) – Dubai Police have announced the arrest of two alleged robbers within 10 minutes of a reported armed robbery at a money exchange office in the Deira district, where approximately AED 10 million was reportedly stolen.
According to Dubai Police, an emergency response was launched immediately after the incident was reported. Security checkpoints were established across the Deira area, while police helicopters were deployed to conduct aerial surveillance and track the suspects.
Police stated that the masked suspects allegedly assaulted members of the money exchange staff and tied them up during the robbery. One employee reportedly managed to alert Dubai Police using a mobile phone, triggering an immediate law enforcement response.
Authorities said the police helicopter tracked the fleeing suspects, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of the allegedly stolen cash. According to police, the suspects are nationals of an African country.
Investigations remain ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident and whether any additional individuals were involved.
