Qalibaf Says Iran Will Only Accept US Deal That Delivers Concrete and Verifiable Results

Tehran (HRNW)- Iran’s top negotiator and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has stated that Tehran will not accept any agreement with the United States unless it produces clear, practical and verifiable results for the Iranian people.

According to Iranian state media, Qalibaf made the remarks while addressing a virtual session of parliament, where he also took the oath of office after being re-elected as Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.

He emphasized that Iran does not trust the promises or statements of the opposing side and that the only acceptable measure of progress in any agreement will be tangible outcomes that can be independently verified.

According to Qalibaf, safeguarding the rights and interests of the Iranian people remains a fundamental condition in any future agreement. He said that Tehran would not fulfill its commitments unless those rights are fully guaranteed.

“The enemy’s promises and statements cannot be relied upon,” Qalibaf said, adding that Iran would only participate in an agreement if its practical benefits and results were clearly evident.

The Iranian parliament speaker also described the Supreme Leader’s message as a roadmap for the 12th Parliament, stating that lawmakers would focus on strengthening hope, building the future, improving the economy and enhancing the living conditions of citizens.

Qalibaf further stressed that Iran would continue to resist external pressure and would not accept any agreement with the United States without firm assurances that the rights and interests of the Iranian nation are protected.

His remarks come as diplomatic discussions and negotiations between Tehran and Washington continue, with both sides seeking progress on key regional and international issues.
