Haroonabad (HRNW): A tragic incident occurred in Haroonabad where a female student, currently enrolled in a Master’s program, shot and killed a young man. Police have taken the suspect into custody and initiated a formal investigation.
Allegations of Harassment and Blackmailing
According to police sources, the suspect stated in her initial confession that the deceased had allegedly been blackmailing and harassing her for an extended period. The student claimed she was under severe mental distress due to his persistent behavior and, out of desperation, decided to take the extreme step of ending his life.
Police Action and Investigation
Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and took the suspect into custody along with the weapon used in the incident. Authorities have stated that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly examined to verify the allegations of blackmailing and to determine if there were any other underlying motives.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to the hospital for a post-mortem examination, and legal proceedings are currently underway.
