Sana Yousaf Murder Case: Written Verdict Issued Rejecting Transfer of Trial Request

Islamabad, Pakistan (HRNW) — The Islamabad High Court has issued a detailed written judgment rejecting a plea seeking transfer of the trial in the Sana Yousaf murder case to another court.

The court dismissed the application after declaring allegations of bias and misconduct against the trial court judge as baseless.

The judgment noted that the accusations levelled against the Additional Sessions Judge regarding alleged bias were unsubstantiated and lacked any legal merit.

It is recalled that the accused, Umar Hayat, had requested that the trial be shifted to another court, claiming that the presiding judge was biased. However, the court rejected these claims and upheld that the trial will continue in the existing court.
