Kyiv (HRNW)- At least six people were killed in a tragic shooting inside a supermarket in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, while the attacker was shot dead during a police response.
According to media reports, the assailant entered the supermarket and opened indiscriminate fire, killing several people on the spot and injuring others. Police and emergency teams rushed to the scene immediately after the incident was reported.
Authorities stated that security personnel surrounded the attacker and returned fire, resulting in his death. The area has been cordoned off and a full investigation is underway.
Officials said that the motive behind the attack is not yet clear, and multiple aspects are being examined as part of the investigation.
