Tehran (HRNW)- Iran has issued a strong warning regarding any potential attack on its key oil export facility, the Kharg Oil Terminal, stating that it will respond decisively to any such action.
Iranian military spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said in a statement that if the United States launches an attack on Kharg Island using the territory of another country, Iran will target that country’s oil and gas infrastructure in response.
He emphasized that Iran follows through on its warnings and urged neighboring countries to exercise caution and avoid allowing their territory to be used against Iran. According to the statement, regional stability could be jeopardized by any escalation involving critical energy facilities.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the region, with security concerns increasing around strategic energy sites.
