Dubai (HRNW)- The United Arab Emirates has denied reports that Iran launched a missile attack on Al-Manhad Air Base, which hosts US military personnel, calling the reports baseless.
According to the AFP news agency, the UAE Ministry of Defense said in a statement on X that reports of a missile attack on the military base were unfounded. The clarification came after Iran claimed that it had targeted the base with dozens of attack drones, saying the operation was aimed at a location where US military personnel and helicopters were present.
The UAE had earlier said that its air defense forces intercepted a drone approaching from the Iranian direction over its territorial waters. Emirati authorities said the country’s armed forces remain on high alert, while airspace surveillance and monitoring of suspicious targets continue.
The latest developments come amid heightened military tensions between Iran and the United States, with Gulf countries closely monitoring the situation. Emirati officials have urged the public to rely on official sources and avoid rumors or misleading information.
