Islamabad (HRNW) — The Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance has announced a 15% increase in goods transport freight rates across the country. Alliance President Malik Shehzad Awan has demanded that toll tax, withholding tax and fines be abolished.
He stated that due to government policies and rising prices of petroleum products, transporters are facing severe difficulties and many have been forced to park their vehicles. The Alliance has warned that if their demands are not met, the protest campaign may be intensified.
