US Grants UAE Preferential Export Status, Eases Access to Advanced Technology

Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has added the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the list of countries receiving special export facilities and concessions.

According to international media reports, the United States has significantly relaxed export regulations by placing the UAE in Country Group A-5 under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security said that under the new classification, the UAE government and approved commercial entities will be able to import a range of eligible products through Strategic Trade Authorization (STA) without obtaining individual export licenses, provided they fully comply with US export laws and the specified conditions.

Following this decision, the UAE is expected to gain easier access to advanced American technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) chips, selected military equipment, commercial satellites, space technology, and various dual-use products.
