Islamabad Police Intensify Crackdown on Violence Against Women and Children, Illegal Weapons

Islamabad (HRNW)- On the instructions of Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified operations under its zero-tolerance policy against violence against women and children, harassment, and illegal weapons.

According to the police, an accused identified as Mansoor was arrested within the jurisdiction of Ramna Police Station for allegedly possessing illegal weapons. A case has been registered against him at the Ramna Police Station.

Islamabad Police stated that a thorough investigation is also underway into other allegations against the accused, including the alleged harassment of children. A special investigation team has been formed under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and ASP Noshirwan Ahsan Minhas to investigate the matter.

Police officials said that solid evidence is being collected to ensure the accused is presented before the court and punished according to the law. The investigation is being carried out on a priority basis to ensure speedy justice for the affected victims.
