Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has appointed former Ethiopian Airlines chief Tolde Gebremariam as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
According to sources, Tolde Gebremariam led Ethiopian Airlines through a period of significant growth, during which the carrier became Africa’s largest airline.
Confirming the appointment, a senior PIA official said that Tolde Gebremariam has been entrusted with leading the national airline to improve its performance, implement modern management reforms, and align its operations with international standards.
Officials expressed hope that the appointment of the new CEO will strengthen PIA’s operational performance, enhance its global competitiveness, and contribute to making the national carrier more stable and efficient at the international level.
