Muzaffargarh (HRNW): A resident of Muzaffargarh has reportedly received 105 electronic traffic challans for riding without a helmet, resulting in a total fine of Rs210,000.
According to the affected citizen, he sold his unregistered motorcycle to a local showroom in December 2024. He alleges that the showroom owner later managed to have the motorcycle registered in his name through unlawful means and without his knowledge.
The citizen stated that 105 e-challans have been issued against the motorcycle since August 2025. He only became aware of the situation after repeatedly receiving traffic violation notices, which led him to discover that the motorcycle was officially registered in his name.
He has submitted a formal complaint against the showroom owner, alleging illegal registration of the motorcycle and requesting legal action against those responsible.
Police officials confirmed that the complaint has been received and that an investigation is underway. Authorities stated that all aspects of the case are being examined and appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings.
The incident highlights the importance of maintaining accurate vehicle registration records and ensuring transparent ownership transfers to protect citizens from wrongful penalties and legal complications.
