Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has issued a stern warning to the United States, saying that no act of intimidation, threats, or breach of promise will go unanswered.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf declared, “I want to make it clear that if you attack, you will be attacked too.”
He also rejected what he described as American pressure regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the strategically important waterway would not operate under US threats but only according to Iranian arrangements.
Qalibaf further warned the United States to avoid what he called “pointless hand-to-hand fighting,” saying that otherwise, “you will continue to sink further into the quagmire.”
The Iranian parliament speaker’s remarks come amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, with the security of the Strait of Hormuz remaining at the center of global attention.
It is noteworthy that the United States has carried out attacks on several Iranian cities, including Bandar Abbas. According to Iranian reports, a firefighter was killed in the strikes, while a railway bridge was also targeted.
