Customs Foils Major Drug Smuggling Bid, Seizes Hashish Worth Rs366 Million

Karachi (HRNW)- Pakistan Customs has foiled a major drug smuggling attempt through the Karachi International Mail Office, recovering 12 kilograms of hashish worth approximately Rs366.2 million.

According to Pakistan Customs, the narcotics were concealed inside plastic toy boxes and were detected during the routine scanning of suspicious parcels arriving from Thailand.

Officials said the seizure prevented a major international drug smuggling attempt, highlighting the effectiveness of customs surveillance and inspection procedures.

According to Customs authorities, the drugs were recovered from two separate parcels sent from Thailand. Investigations are underway to identify and trace the individuals and network involved in the smuggling operation.
