Korangi Residents Block Highway, Burn Tires in Protest Against Prolonged Load Shedding

Karachi (HRNW)- Citizens took to the streets to protest the worst load shedding in Korangi No. 2 area of ​​Karachi. Residents of the area burned tires and blocked the main highway in a fierce protest, which severely affected the flow of traffic.

Protesters say that the power outages lasting several hours have paralyzed normal life. Children, the elderly and patients are facing severe difficulties due to the intense heat and lack of electricity in the city. During the protest, the angry citizens also raised slogans against K-Electric.

According to locals, the police were not present at the scene during the protest, which further angered the citizens. The residents of the area have demanded that immediate notice be taken of the load shedding, otherwise the scope of the protest will be expanded further.

It should be noted that incidents of such protests and road closures against load shedding have been reported in Karachi in the past as well.
