Karachi (HRNW)- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has categorically stated that the party will not accept any proposal related to handing over Karachi to the federal government or dividing Sindh under any circumstances.
Responding to a journalist’s question during a press conference in Karachi, Khuhro said the PPP’s position is clear regarding remarks attributed to Zulfikar Bhutto Jr. about placing Karachi under federal control and dividing Sindh into four parts.
He emphasized that no such proposal is acceptable to the Pakistan Peoples Party and reiterated that Karachi is an integral part of Sindh.
“Karachi is and will remain a part of Sindh,” Khuhro said, adding that any suggestion that affects the unity, integrity or administrative structure of the province would face strong opposition from the party.
The PPP leader further stated that the party rejects any initiative aimed at dividing Sindh or introducing administrative changes that could undermine the province’s cohesion. He said the party’s stance on the matter is firm, clear and unwavering.
