Trump Cancels Independence Day Concert, Announces ‘Make America Great Again’ Rally Instead

Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has abruptly canceled a major concert planned as part of the celebrations marking America’s 250th Independence Day and announced that it will be replaced by a large political rally.

In a statement posted on social media, President Trump criticized some music artists, saying they charge substantial fees despite having limited public appeal. He also argued that such celebrities do not play a meaningful role in addressing the problems faced by ordinary citizens.

Trump announced that instead of the proposed concert, a “Make America Great Again” rally will be held, where he will personally address supporters.

It is worth noting that Freedom 250, a non-profit organization supported by President Trump, had earlier unveiled plans for a 16-day celebration to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence. The schedule included a large-scale music concert at the National Mall in Washington.

However, according to US media reports, several prominent singers had recently declined invitations to perform at the event, raising doubts about whether the concert would proceed as planned.

Under the latest arrangements, the concert has been canceled and replaced with a major political gathering scheduled for June 24, where President Trump is expected to address supporters and present a new vision for the country’s 250th Independence Day celebrations.
