COAS General Asim Munir Visits Zhob, Spends Time with Troops on Western Border, Reaffirms Resolve Against Terrorism

RAWALPINDI (HRNW) – The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), visited Zhob District, Balochistan, to spend time with front-line troops deployed along the western borders. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit aimed to review operational readiness and boost the morale of the officers and soldiers deployed at forward posts.

Upon his arrival, the Army Chief visited the Shuhada Monument, laid a floral wreath, and paid rich tribute to the brave sons of the soil who laid down their lives in defense of the motherland. Special prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the martyrs and for the enduring peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.

  • Unmatched Sacrifices: He paid a glowing tribute to the troops for their unparalleled courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation against hostile threats and kinetic designs sponsored by adversarial forces.

Resolute Stance Against Terrorism

  • Response to Hostile Proxies: Referencing recent cowardly acts of terrorism in Quetta, orchestrated by hostile networks and their state-sponsored proxies, the COAS reiterated that such inhumane and barbaric acts could never weaken the resolve of Pakistan’s Armed Forces or its resilient nation.

  • Relentless Pursuit of Perpetrators: General Asim Munir emphasized that the Armed Forces, in close coordination with law enforcement agencies and the brave people of Balochistan, will continue to relentlessly pursue all facilitators, abettors, and perpetrators of terrorism with full force until the menace is completely eradicated from the country.

Earlier on his arrival, the Chief of Army Staff was warmly received by the Corps Commander Quetta and was given a comprehensive briefing on the security situation along the border and ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
