Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan and Kuwait have signed the Protocol Agreement 2026 to further strengthen bilateral defense cooperation, expanding the framework established under their 2023 Defense Cooperation Agreement.
A high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sulaiman Al-Sabah met Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif at the Ministry of Defense in Rawalpindi, where the two sides discussed bilateral defense relations, security cooperation and matters of mutual interest.
Under the new agreement, the Pakistan Army will assist the Kuwaiti Armed Forces in training, capacity building, border management and other mutually agreed areas of defense cooperation.
Earlier, the Kuwaiti delegation also visited GHQ in Rawalpindi and met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. According to ISPR, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional ties and expanding defense cooperation.
Pakistan and Kuwait described the agreement as a reflection of their mutual trust and shared strategic interests, emphasizing greater cooperation for regional peace, security and stability.
