Pakistan Receives $1.32 Billion IMF Tranche, Foreign Exchange Reserves Expected to Cross $17 Billion

Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan has received a new financial tranche of $1.32 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Islamabad. According to details, this package includes $1.1 billion under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and $220 million under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).

According to economic sources, after this new tranche, the total financial assistance received by Pakistan under both programs has reached $4.8 billion. It has been further informed that after the transfer of this amount, the foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan are expected to exceed $17 billion, which is likely to provide some stability to the country’s economy.
