Karachi District South Police: Civil Lines Police Arrest Notorious Gutka Seller

KARACHI (HRNW): In line with the directives of SSP District South, Mahzoor Ali, the Civil Lines Police conducted a successful operation against the sale of prohibited and hazardous substances, resulting in the arrest of a listed Gutka and Mawa seller.

During the crackdown, police apprehended the suspect, identified as Alam Zeb, son of Siyal Muhammad, who was actively involved in the distribution of illicit substances.


Case Details and Recoveries:

  • Seizure: Police recovered 45 packets of hazardous and prohibited Gutka/Mawa from the suspect’s possession.

  • Criminal Record: According to officials, the arrested individual is a habitual offender with a prior criminal record and was already wanted by the police in multiple cases.

  • Legal Action: A case (FIR No. 52/2026) has been registered against the suspect at Civil Lines Police Station under Section 8(i) of the Sindh Gutka and Manpure Act 2021.

The District South Police spokesperson stated that further legal proceedings are underway, and the crackdown against the manufacturing and sale of such harmful substances will continue across the district.
