South District Police Raid Illegal Shisha Cafe and Arrest Ice Dealer in Darakhshan Operations

KARACHI (HRNW): Following a specialized Intelligence Report (I.R.), the Darakhshan Police conducted two highly successful targeted operations on Wednesday, cracking down on illegal shisha lounges and narcotics peddling in the South District. According to a police spokesperson, the operations resulted in the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of illegal substances and equipment.

Acting on specific information, the police first raided a shisha cafe operating under the name “9 O’Clock.” During the raid, officers apprehended two individuals and recovered two hookahs along with six different prohibited flavors. The cafe was allegedly operating in violation of public health and safety regulations.

In a separate coordinated strike, the police caught a drug dealer red-handed while he was attempting to sell Crystal Meth (Ice) to customers. The suspect was found in possession of 24 grams of Ice and a significant amount of cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales. The arrested suspects have been identified as:

  1. Muzammil (s/o Daniel)

  2. Rahil (s/o Rajesh)

  3. Roshan (s/o Hakeem)

The Darakhshan Police have registered two separate cases against the accused. FIR No. 253/2026 was filed under Sections 269, 270, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) regarding the shisha cafe, while FIR No. 254/2026 was registered under Section 9(2)2 of the Narcotics Act 2024. Further investigation is currently underway to dismantle the distribution network associated with the arrested individuals.
