Islamabad (HRNW)- In the context of the ongoing tension between Iran and the United States, a second round of talks between the two countries has emerged, and these talks can also be held in Pakistan. According to a report by the international news agency Associated Press (AP), informed sources have said that Iran and the United States are considering new direct talks to reach a possible agreement before the end of the ceasefire. In this regard, Pakistan has once again offered to host these talks.
According to the AP, Islamabad is once again being considered as a possible host, while Geneva has also emerged as an alternative venue. Sources say that these talks are likely to be held on Thursday. The report states that consultations regarding the new round of talks are underway, while a diplomat from a mediating country has claimed that Iran and Washington have agreed to hold talks in principle. However, it is not yet clear whether the same delegations from the previous level will participate in the talks, although the location and time are being considered. According to international observers, if these talks are successful, they could prove to be a significant step towards reducing tensions in the region.
