PM Shehbaz Sharif Pays Tribute to Constitution on Constitution Day

Islamabad (HRNW)- Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has said in his message on the occasion of Constitution Day (April 10, 2026) that today we are celebrating the day of the approval of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with national spirit and on this occasion we pay tribute to the architects of the Constitution.

The Prime Minister said that the Constitution is a sacred contract between the people and the state which determines the rights and duties of both legally, morally and administratively.

He further said that the unanimous Constitution approved on April 10, 1973 laid the foundation of the parliamentary democratic system in Pakistan and formed a strong structure of state institutions.

According to Shehbaz Sharif, the 1973 Constitution is the protector of the fundamental human rights of all citizens of the country, which not only defines these rights but also provides a legal framework for their provision.

The Prime Minister said that the Constitution is a bright symbol of the federation of Pakistan and national unity, and all the units of the country are playing their constitutional role for national unity and economic development. This agreement is a reflection of the special grace and mercy of Allah Almighty.

At the end of his message, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan is a blessing given by Allah Almighty and we bow down before it. Pakistan will continue its journey of progress and prosperity, God willing, having raised its prestige among the nations of the world.
