Lebanon to Raise Israel’s Alleged Chemical Spraying at International Forums

Beirut (HRNW)- Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has accused Israel of spraying toxic chemicals, including glyphosate, in southern Lebanon, threatening the environment, agriculture, and public health. Lebanon has labeled the act an “environmental and health crime” and a violation of its sovereignty. The Lebanese government announced plans to file complaints and initiate legal proceedings to raise the issue at international forums, including relevant UN bodies and the Security Council.
