Islamabad – Pakistan (HRNW)- Senator Faisal Vawda has issued a strong statement suggesting that the current political and legal turmoil in Pakistan is “just the beginning”, warning that “the worst and the reckoning are yet to come.”
Speaking to reporters, Vawda hinted at the forthcoming evidence and testimonies related to the May 9 incidents, which involved nationwide unrest and attacks on military installations. He said, “May God have mercy! I had said that December would be decisive — everything was written on the wall, but those who chose not to see or hear ignored the truth.”
Vawda emphasized that he had warned political circles for years, but his advice went unheard. “I kept asking for restraint, but no one listened. Now they’ve been taken to a point of no legal or worldly return,” he remarked ominously.
Political observers interpret his comments as a signal of deeper political accountability to come, as investigations into the May 9 events continue to unfold at national and judicial levels.
