Karachi (HRNW)- A Judicial Magistrate South court has sentenced all accused, including 15 Chinese nationals, in the case involving an illegal call center raided by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
According to the NCCIA, 34 people — 15 Chinese and 19 Pakistani nationals — were arrested from Defence in December 2025. The accused were sentenced to 18 months in prison and a fine of Rs100,000 each in both cases.
Authorities recovered 37 computers, 40 mobile phones and more than 10,000 international SIM cards from the accused. The suspects were allegedly involved in defrauding local and foreign nationals by attracting them with promises of lucrative profits.
The court’s verdict marks a significant development in the investigation and prosecution of the alleged fraudulent call center and fake-profit scheme.
