Karachi (HRNW)- Karachi has experienced significantly lower-than-usual monsoon rainfall this year, with meteorological conditions resembling those observed in 1997, when the city also received unusually little monsoon rain amid an active El Niño.
According to the Meteorological Department, the chances of significant rainfall in Karachi remain low, with limited prospects for rain even during August and September.
The below-normal rainfall pattern has raised concerns over the city’s water situation and weather conditions as the monsoon season continues.
