Court Adjourns Hearing in Chaudhry Parvez Elahi Case, Reaffirming the Importance of Fair Trial and Due Process

Lahore (HRNW) – The Special Central Court in Lahore heard the case against former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and other co-accused. During the proceedings, the Court accepted Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s application seeking exemption from personal appearance for one day.

The Court also directed counsel to present further arguments on Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s acquittal application at the next hearing and adjourned the case until 15 September.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Lahore, has already submitted the charge sheet (challan) before the Court, and legal proceedings are continuing in accordance with the law.
