UN Women Warns Over One Million Women and Girls Have Lost Critical Humanitarian Support

Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)UN Women has warned that more than one million women and girls have lost access to essential humanitarian assistance due to significant global funding cuts. According to the agency, women’s organizations operating in conflict and disaster-affected regions are being forced to reduce or suspend services, leaving millions without protection, healthcare, and emergency support.

The agency called on governments, international donors, and humanitarian partners to urgently restore funding to protect vulnerable women and girls facing crises around the world.
