Lahore (HRNW)- Citizens planning to travel by car or motorcycle on the weekly holiday have been advised to follow traffic laws, as Lahore Traffic Police have announced strict enforcement against underage and unlicensed drivers, as well as motorcyclists carrying three passengers.
According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Abdul Rahim Shirazi, many children and teenagers take motorcycles, cars and rickshaws onto the roads during holidays, prompting the traffic police to launch a special enforcement campaign.
The CTO said that in addition to issuing traffic challans, vehicles driven by underage drivers will also be impounded and released only after the required juvenile driving permit or relevant legal requirements are fulfilled.
He further stated that, in the interest of public safety, strict action will also be taken against motorcycles carrying three riders, urging citizens to comply with traffic regulations to avoid penalties.
