Tehran (HRNW): Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a strong warning to the United States, stating that any attack against Iran would receive a decisive response.
In his statement, Ghalibaf said that the United States has yet to learn that pressure tactics, threats, and broken commitments carry consequences. He warned that any military action against Iran could lead to serious repercussions.
The Iranian parliament speaker urged Washington to avoid what he described as unnecessary actions, warning that such steps could further complicate the regional situation.
Commenting on the Strait of Hormuz, Ghalibaf stated that the movement and arrangements related to the strategic waterway would be managed according to Iran’s policies and decisions, rather than under external pressure or threats.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei responded to recent remarks by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, stating that such comments reflected, in Iran’s view, the involvement of some European countries in actions taken by the United States and Israel against Iran.
Baghaei said that countries allowing the use of their territory, military bases, or other facilities for such operations could not separate themselves from responsibility for the consequences of those actions.
International observers note that rising tensions between Iran, the United States, and Western countries could have implications for regional security, global energy markets, and diplomatic relations. Experts emphasize the importance of diplomatic engagement and dialogue to prevent further escalation.
