Mastung, Pakistan (HRNW) – Four police personnel sustained minor injuries after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near a police vehicle in the Dasht area of Mastung District, Balochistan, on Sunday.
According to police, the explosion occurred at Pir Wali on the Mian Ghundi Link Road while a police vehicle was transporting prisoners from the Dasht court to Mastung Jail.
SHO Dasht Akhtar Muhammad stated that the vehicle was targeted with an explosive device placed along the roadside. The blast caused partial damage to the police vehicle and left four officers with minor injuries.
Following the incident, a heavy contingent of security forces reached the scene, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation to locate those responsible.
The injured personnel received first aid and were shifted to a nearby hospital. Police officials confirmed that all four officers are in stable condition and out of danger.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack, and further details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
