KARACHI (HRNW) – The Court of the Judicial Magistrate (South) has accepted a police petition requesting exemption from the physical production of female suspect Anmol, alias Pinky, in a narcotics recovery case.
During the court hearing, the police sought permission to present the suspect via video link, maintaining the stance that physically producing Anmol Pinky before the court could potentially jeopardize the law and order situation.
The court remarked that due to security reasons, the physical custody of the suspect is not required until the submission of the formal charge sheet (challan). However, the court emphasized that the suspect must be produced whenever explicitly summoned by the court.
Concurrently, the police have also sought authorization to access the bank accounts of Anmol Pinky’s co-accused. To this end, the investigating officer has filed a formal application in the Session Court.
