KOTLI KHOKHRAN (HRNW) – The Begowala Police have registered a formal criminal case against two suspects following allegations that renowned TikToker Hakim Babar was poisoned through a beverage during an invitation.
According to details, following the incident in the Kotli Khokhran area of Sambrial, the Begowala Police acted upon an application filed by the complainant, Muhammad Afzal. Consequently, FIR No. 279/26 has been registered against suspects Safdar (alias Sakoone) and Ali Chohan under Section 337-J of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The stance adopted in the police complaint maintains that due to jealousy over Hakim Babar’s social media fame and popularity, the suspects allegedly served him juice laced with a poisonous substance under a premeditated plan, causing his condition to deteriorate severely. Immediately after the incident, the TikToker was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital in critical condition. He has since been discharged from the hospital after receiving timely medical treatment and stabilizing.
Begowala Police officials stated that a formal and transparent investigation into the incident has been initiated after registering the case. According to the police administration, chemical samples have been collected and dispatched to the forensic laboratory to scientifically determine the exact nature of the substance mixed into the juice. Further legal action will be taken in light of the forensic report.
