KARACHI (HRNW) – Taking prompt and timely action, the Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police of the East Zone have apprehended a suspect red-handed while robbing a citizen, though his accomplice managed to escape the scene.
According to the details released by the East Police Spokesperson on May 31, 2026, the police team conducted a successful operation against street criminals, resulting in the arrest of the suspect identified as Imran, son of Juma Gul. During the body search, law enforcement officials recovered an illegal 30-bore pistol, ammunition, and a motorcycle used in the crime from his possession.
Upon verifying the records of the recovered motorcycle (bearing registration number BDM-2869), police officials discovered that the vehicle had been previously stolen from the jurisdiction of the Aziz Bhatti police station.
The police administration stated that the prior criminal record of the arrested suspect is currently being verified, while a manhunt has been launched to track down and arrest his fleeing accomplice. Formal cases have been registered against the suspects under the prevailing regulations, and further investigation is underway.
