Heatwave Alert Issued Across Punjab as Temperatures Rise, Lahore Expected to Hit 40°C

Lahore (HRNW)- The intensity of heat is steadily increasing across Punjab due to prolonged dry weather, while the Meteorological Department has forecast that weather conditions will remain hotter and drier over the next 24 hours.

According to reports from Lahore, rising temperatures have significantly increased the use of air conditioners and air coolers in homes and offices, while citizens have started taking precautionary measures amid fears of a possible heatwave.

The Meteorological Department stated that the minimum temperature in Lahore is 27°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 40°C, raising concerns over intense daytime heat.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a heatwave alert for several districts of Punjab until May 11, warning residents to remain cautious during peak daytime hours.

Authorities have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, drink plenty of water, and adopt preventive measures to protect themselves from heat-related illnesses.
