Islamabad (HRNW)- Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam, has said that Iran has conveyed a new diplomatic negotiation plan to the United States through Pakistan, adding that progress on the proposal will depend on Washington’s approach toward dialogue. In an interview with an Iranian news agency, the ambassador stated that Iran’s position and demands are clear and transparent, emphasizing that if the United States is genuinely serious about negotiations, it must demonstrate a constructive change in attitude. He also stressed that Iran will not compromise on what it considers its national interests and defense policy.

According to Ambassador Reza Amiri Moqadam, Pakistan is currently playing a central mediation role in facilitating communication related to the diplomatic initiative, and he praised Islamabad’s efforts in supporting dialogue and regional stability. He noted that no decision has been made to alter Pakistan’s role in the process. The ambassador added that the international community is paying close attention to Iran’s position, while he described the U.S. approach as uncertain, stating that although Iran remains committed to diplomacy, the success of any negotiations will largely depend on Washington’s response.
