Three-Day Baisakhi Festival to Begin at Kartarpur on April 15; Thousands of Sikh Pilgrims Expected from India

NAROWAL (HRNW)- The three-day annual Baisakhi festival is set to commence at the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur on April 15, with approximately 2,800 Sikh pilgrims expected to arrive from India. According to the Darbar administration, the pilgrims will enter Pakistan via the Wagah Border and reach Kartarpur on April 15 for a three-day stay to perform their religious rituals.

The administration has finalized all necessary arrangements, including security, accommodation, food (langar), and transportation, to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the visitors. While the Kartarpur Corridor remains closed from the Indian side, special arrangements have been made to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims for this significant religious occasion.

Baisakhi holds immense cultural and religious importance for the Sikh community, marking the beginning of the solar New Year and the founding of the Khalsa Panth. Last year, nearly 3,000 pilgrims traveled from India to Pakistan to participate in the festivities, reflecting the ongoing commitment to religious tourism and interfaith harmony.
