Islamabad (HRNW)- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has strongly rejected the Afghan government’s claims that military installations in Kabul and Nangarhar were improperly targeted, calling the allegations baseless and misleading.
Responding to statements by the so-called spokesman of the Taliban government, the ministry said such propaganda is aimed at confusing public opinion and distorting facts. It firmly denied reports of civilian casualties in Afghanistan, clarifying that on the night of March 16, Pakistan specifically targeted military installations and terrorist infrastructure in Kabul and Nangarhar.
According to the ministry, the operation was conducted with utmost precision and caution to avoid any unnecessary damage. The targeted locations were allegedly being used by Fitna al-Kharij and pro-Afghan Taliban elements for carrying out terrorist activities against Pakistan.
The ministry further stated that powerful explosions at the targeted sites confirmed the presence of weapons and explosives depots, dismissing claims that the locations were “drug rehabilitation centers” as an attempt to spread misinformation.
Reaffirming its stance, the Ministry of Information said Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and security and has made significant sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. It emphasized that Afghan soil must not be used for activities against Pakistan.
