Karachi (HRNW)- A tragic accident occurred during a school transfer in the Manghopir area of Karachi, where an uncontrolled water tanker struck school-going children. As a result of the incident, 4-year-old Hassan died on the spot.
According to the family, the accident took place on Ijtimagah Road near Ilyas Mosque, where a speeding water tanker allegedly came from the wrong side and hit the children. The deceased child was a twin brother, and his sudden death has left the household in deep shock and mourning.
Residents and members of the affected family expressed profound grief and anger, stating that incidents involving wrong-side driving and heavy traffic have become increasingly common in the area. They criticized the authorities for failing to control reckless driving and traffic violations. Police officials said that action has been initiated following the incident, while public demand for strict measures against the so-called water tanker mafia is growing.
