Tehran (HRNW)- Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it launched missile strikes targeting US military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain, describing the attacks as a response to recent US military operations against Iran.
According to a statement issued by the Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s Aerospace Force targeted two military air bases in Kuwait, claiming to have struck fuel depots, Patriot air defense systems, and a key radar installation.
The IRGC said the strikes were part of the third phase of its military campaign, which it described as an “eye for an eye” strategy. Iranian officials stated that the operations were carried out in retaliation for recent US military actions.
The statement further warned that if the United States continues its military activities in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will take additional retaliatory measures, adding that it would no longer tolerate what it described as a foreign military presence in the strategic waterway.
The Revolutionary Guards also claimed responsibility for an attack on Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, alleging that helicopter maintenance facilities, a hangar housing a US P-8 surveillance aircraft, and a US drone command-and-control center were among the targets.
Iranian officials said the operations were conducted in response to US military actions and warned that retaliatory measures would continue unless Washington halts its operations.
So far, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United States have not officially confirmed or denied the Iranian claims, and there has been no independent verification of the reported attacks or any resulting damage or casualties.
Regional analysts warn that escalating tensions between Iran and the United States could significantly affect Gulf security, maritime trade through the Strait of Hormuz, and overall stability in the Middle East.
