PM Shehbaz Sharif Vows Relentless Action Against Terrorism at Balochistan Apex Committee Meeting

Quetta (HRNW)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s eastern neighbor is involved in terrorism in Balochistan by providing financial support and weapons to militant groups, while alleging that terrorists have also found refuge on Afghan soil.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while addressing a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee of the National Action Plan chaired by him in Quetta. The meeting was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandokhel, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, senior law enforcement officials, Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema and Attaullah Tarar, and Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah.

Addressing the participants, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that several serious incidents had occurred in Balochistan during the past four days. According to him, 42 people, including civilians and security personnel, were martyred, while 54 militants were killed during security operations. He alleged that Pakistan’s eastern neighbor was extensively financing and arming militant groups operating in Balochistan and claimed that terrorists had taken refuge on Afghan soil. He also referred to the involvement of other foreign elements without providing further details.

The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan’s political and military leadership stands united against terrorism and reaffirmed that eliminating terrorism remains the government’s top priority. He said all available resources would be utilized and the campaign against militant groups would continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

Shehbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan’s diplomatic achievements have unsettled its adversaries and expressed confidence that the country would continue its journey toward progress and prosperity, adding that the sacrifices made by the nation’s martyrs would not go in vain.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit, where he was received by the Governor of Balochistan, the Chief Minister and senior civil and military officials.
