President, Prime Minister Vow to Eliminate Terrorism Following Karachi Rangers Camp Attack

Islamabad (HRNW) – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the recent attack on a Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) camp in Karachi and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.

In separate statements, both leaders praised the Pakistan Rangers for thwarting the attack, saying the force once again demonstrated professionalism, bravery, and dedication in the line of duty.

President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned what he described as a terrorist attack carried out by the Indian proxy group Jamaat-ul-Ahrar against the Rangers camp. He paid tribute to the three Rangers personnel who embraced martyrdom during the operation.

“The nation will never forget the sacrifices of its brave soldiers in the fight against terrorism,” the President said, adding that terrorist elements operating with foreign backing would never succeed in achieving their objectives.

He further stated that the people of Pakistan stand firmly alongside the country’s security forces and law enforcement agencies, emphasizing that the sacrifices of the martyrs strengthen the nation’s resolve to eradicate terrorism completely.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for foiling what he described as a “cowardly attack” by terrorists. According to the Prime Minister’s statement, the security forces neutralized three attackers and arrested another alive, preventing the attackers from achieving their objectives.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the Rangers personnel who lost their lives during the operation, saying the entire nation salutes their sacrifice and will always remember their courage. He also prayed for patience and strength for the families of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery for the injured personnel.

“The blood of our martyrs will not go in vain,” the Prime Minister said, adding that every manifestation of terrorism would be eliminated with full force. He further stated that Pakistan’s armed forces, Rangers, and law enforcement agencies have the full support of the nation and that counterterrorism efforts will continue with determination until the threat of terrorism is eradicated.
