FIA Offloads 23 Passengers Traveling to Bahrain on Work Visas

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) — In Karachi, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) offloaded 23 passengers who were scheduled to travel to Bahrain on work visas following irregularities discovered during immigration checks.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the passengers initially claimed they had secured employment through relatives. However, during detailed scrutiny, their statements were found to be false and misleading.

Upon further questioning, the passengers admitted that they had obtained employment through agents. Authorities also noted that all 23 individuals were booked on the same flight in a suspicious pattern, raising additional concerns.

The spokesperson added that none of the passengers could clearly explain the nature of their jobs or provide relevant details. Moreover, none possessed a valid foreign service agreement—an essential legal requirement for overseas employment.

Based on these discrepancies and failure to meet legal requirements, all 23 passengers were offloaded. The FIA advised travelers to fulfill all legal formalities and obtain proper clearance from immigration authorities before departure to avoid such situations.
