KARACHI (HRNW): The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a severe heat and heatwave alert for Karachi and other districts of Sindh for the month of May. This heatwave is expected to persist across central and upper Sindh until May 3.
Key details regarding the weather conditions include:

Affected Districts: Temperatures in Jamshoro, Dadu, Nawabshah, and Khairpur are expected to remain 4°C to 6°C above normal.

Upper Sindh: Intense heat is also forecasted for Larkana, Sukkur, and Jacobabad.

Karachi Forecast: The provincial capital will experience hot and humid weather for the next three days.

Temperature and Humidity: The temperature in Karachi may reach 39°C today. However, with humidity levels as high as 75%, the “feel-like” temperature will be significantly higher than the actual recorded temperature.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens, particularly children and the elderly, to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun and to increase their water intake. Farmers have also been directed to take necessary precautions to protect their wheat crops and livestock from the extreme heat.
